Mennesker’s strategic location and economic
boom has attracted a varied series of people to its
streets.
The opportunity to join one of the caravans or
parties crossing the Ashes of Kurn attracts many
people, while others aspire to serve one of the
new noble houses or engage in trade in the ex-
panding economy.
Unfortunately for them, the jobs created are not
enough for these new arrivals that are known as
lowlifes—a soubriquet placed on them by the new
nobility from Lyria.

sker’s quarters — except the nobility’s — looking
for a job or wandering around in search of any
