Thousands of years ago the cycle was broken with the arrival of the first Keeper who brought magic and rune lore to the people of Dagra. Evelyn is a novice at the Library of Orem where all the history and memories of Dagra are stored. She dreams of earning her grey coat and becoming a Keeper, a sect of magic users with the power to manipulate minds and memories. Isolated from the world she knows only the safety of the Library. As she hones her magic, she begins to uncover secrets better left buried, and dabble in politics beyond her understanding.
