Description
This is a copy of a Roman sculpture of Terpsichore, the Muse of Dance, playing a lyre. The original statue originates from the 1st Century AD and is housed in the Vatican Museums, Rome.
The head is ancient but does not belong to the body. The work was found in the Villa of Cassius ner Tivoli in 1774.
