BULLET BILL / BANZAI BILL
Published 2017-01-09T18:52:37+00:00
Bullet Bill (or is it Banzai Bill!) from the Mario game franchise.
After reading the comments on Joel Tellings video I realised that a lot of people were saying this model should actually be called BANZAI BILL. Most people don't seem to mind but I had a few spare minutes so I've now added another base which says BANZAI so you can choose which one to use.
The models has been separated into parts which should hold together without the need for glue.
You will need to turn support on for the teeth but the rest will print ok without it. I would advise printing at 150microns or lower so that the screw threads come out nice and tidy.
When assembling, push the red insert almost all of the way in but stop a few mm's short so that you can insert the pre-assembled eyes through the holes, then when you push the red insert in fully the eyes will be held in place without the need for glue.
Then just screw the base on to hold everything in place, if the thread is tight you may need to work the thread in out out until it frees up.
Any questions just let me know.

Printed a big boy bullet bill. 140%
Actually printed using a Creality CR-10, but that wasn't in the list for me to select.
used Prusa white PLA and DasFilament black PLA. red was done with sharpie on white print
Turned out great, I'm printing a second one because the first one was stolen by my son. Printed at 0.15mm 25% infill. Spray painted the exterior after sanding with green putty to get a shinny finish.
Dremel 3D20 Dremel PLA 0.15 mm Layer
my new shaving brush ! thanks !
Love It! Added a flashing LED module in the recess of PET-G insert.
Printed at 150% scale using SeeMeCNC PLAs
I really like your Banzai Bill. Printed it in 170% with PLA and PETG and love how it came out. Have you ever considered designing a piranha plant from Super Mario World? Printable in different colors to assemble like this Bullet Bill?
scaled up to 200% 0.15mm layer height.
Printed the white and red parts on a modded Monoprice V2, black on the Prusa. Such a brilliant design.
Awesome model! Printed on discoeasy 200
Made the body longer so BB could be used to actually store stuff like USB drives, SD Cards, keys, etc.... I printed the eyes and teeth in Hatchbox GLOW PLA.
Black and White PETG - eSUN Red PLA - PushPlastic
I printed the white parts with a glow in the dark PLA
Printed at 200% scale
Awesome design. Thank you!

Nice Design, thanks!
great print overall but I haven't been able to fit it together properly. Black pupils wouldn't fit so snapped off white piece and glued in, red insert also would not fit 100% all the way in and teeth too. I thought tolerances would of been better. Printed on Ultimaker 3 with Ultimaker PLA
I love this design. Probably one of my favorite things I've printed. I modified the red insert in thinker cad to have a slot in it to turn the whole thing into a piggy bank. I printed it at 200% and my son loves dropping coins in it.
Printed on Formbot Raptor
Infill: 20% Layer height: 0,2 mm
Printed at 0.2 layer height, at 75%.
This is bullet bill , the lone ranger silver bullet edition. I've printed 2 of these and they printed great.
Printing in Dark Orchid because I was running low on black. I LOVE the design of this model. Bravo
Fantástica figura de colección. Gracias por el diseño esta muy bien diseñado.
First attempt - no changes other than using Glow in the Dark PLA for the Eye Whites and Teeth.
Very easy print.... Only had blue filament, but it still looks wonderful!
I couldn't wait to make one. I love how it looks. Thank you!
This printed out beautifully! I used PETG black for the casing.. didn't have true white, so I used PETG clear, which does the job.. and I only had semi transparent red PLA for the inside.. All in all, it came together really well and the colors seem to match! Super impressed by the design!
Printed in ENDER 2 and Prusa i4 Layer 0.15 5% infill
A key chain sized Banzai Bill, which contains the RFID tag to open the gates/doors in my community.
Turned out super cool
0.2mm layer height, 10% infill
Inverted Banzai Bill in AIO Natural, Bright Blue, Black and White - 100% scale at .2. Easiest way to get the teeth set is to use a mechanical pencil eraser and a mallet / hammer. Flatten the eraser out a bit on a flat surface with your mallet. Hold it over the teeth while you tap them in - it won't mark the plastic but will transfer enough energy to make the teeth move in their proper place.
Thanks so much for this stellar design #Forge3D. This was so much fun and is my favorite print so far.
I love this model. I think the modular parts to print in different colors and then assemble is brilliant.
Printed at 100% with 10% infill top part with minot supports for centre part all the rest no supports
Printed without support and slight brim at 0,1mm layer height.
Printed at 50% scale. AMZ3D Black PLA Amazonbasics Red PLA ICE Filaments Wondrous White PLA
Printed on 86Duino Enjoy
Awesome model and everyone that sees it loves it!
Printed at 275%
I love this one!! Everything printed fine, good model and good details!
This is an awesome model, it came out really well on my i3 MK3 with Prusament Galaxy Black.
120% @ 0.16mm layer height
Great model !
Great Model thanks!
Fantastic model! Printed at 175% using a combination of Atomic PLA and PETG for the red. The assembly was a little tricky, as the PETG sized a little differently than the PLA. In the end it all fit together and complements my Nintendo wall nicely.
Bullet Bill at 200%. Great model!
Love this model thank you
Printed in 0,2mm. Thank you. That’s a very cool print.
Wanted to see how it would turn out printed in nylon. 2 issues... Had to dremel the pupils to get them to fit in the eyes, and had to dremel the flat part of the teeth to get them to fit in the slot. Other than that, it went together perfectly. Colored the inner body with a red sharpie. Printed on an EOS P 396 SLS printer. Everyone in the office wants one now lol.
Very easy to print and assemble. Great model!
Printed at 200%. Mixed with bank slot insert (thingiverse.com/thing:2736986) and Long Colt body and teeth (thingiverse.com/thing:2612626) to make a Bullet Bill Bank.Fun print! Thanks for modeling a part of my childhood! If you are looking for your next Mario Bros. themed project, I would love to see a chain-chomp. :)
printed on Creality Ender 3. layer height .12mm. very nice design, thank you!

Great design
I is an awesome print. Great job on the design!!! Thank youI printed this on my Tevo Nereus @ .15mm. All filament is PETG.
Made this with ESun PLA+ Black, Cool White and Fire Engine Red on an Ender 3 Pro at 0.12 layer height. Came out great!!! Thank you!
Love this print. It is now a prominent part of my home office.
Printed at 200%. Great model.
about 90% up, my print just fails, it leaves the nose very flat, just past the bridge of the eyes. I don't want to try it a third time at 140%, as that was taking forever just to have it fail again, in the same location. This have never happened to me before
Super fun print. 150%. Ender 3 Pro
Loved doing this. Printed at 200%. Did have little issue with bit of the screw on thread but it was only a small bit affected and was internal so couldn't see. Love to do a 400% scale one now I have a creality S4.
I am new to 3d printing and thought i would give this a try. No supports and .12 mm layer thickness. I am not sure what happened. Can anyone help me out? Do I need support on the inside?
Scaled down to 80% so now it fits one of these IKEA electrict candles (shake to turn on/off) and made small cutout in insert part (red). Colors used: red is PLA Devil Design Dragon Red, Pearl Blue, White and Black from PM Filament.
Have now printed three sizes of this model - 100%, 150% and 250%. 250% took over 60 hours of print time.
Great Model. Had fun building. I had to trim the pupils a bit is all. Black: PETG Red/White: PLA Thanks!
Nice design, just love this, thx. Had to resize the black pupils by 98%, they didn't fit at 100%
I'm not sure why this won't work. I got a 50% scale model to print and screw in correctly, but twice now I have tried a 100% scale model and the top piece and bottom do not screw together. I have a small slope to my print on the top, which I think is also impacting the fit? I see many people commented below about threading issues, and others say the threading is perfect. Any suggestions? Printing using Flashforge Adventurer 3 Lite, .12mm layer height, brim, 210 extruder, 100 plate, 40mm/s print speed, 7mm retraction. The red arrows on the image show all around the bottom of the top piece, it does not print directly vertically but seems to have a small taper (like a persons waist) before flaring out a bit. I cannot get the bottom to screw in more than shown on the image-leaves like 3 threads sticking out the bottom of the top piece.
Good Model. Thanks. Printeted with 3 walls and no infill
So fun
Banzai Bill
Printed on Prusa MK3 Prusa Mini
Scaled at 200%
Great print.
Great model! I also created an insert that holds Switch cartridges. Good job!
Bunzai Bill, a must print in your lifetime kind of print, Thanks Martin!! I even created a timelapse for it http://youtu.be/ZfFD2r4On9k
printed at 150%, great design. thank you
My version
Didn't have enough black on hand but plenty of white and I didn't feel like painting so I did a color inverted version. He's weird but I love him.
Came out really well and my first large print. Scaled up to 125% amz3d PLA Black, white, red
I'd a little hole to fit the custom base.
Excellent!
Sanded and Painted
Awesome!
Black PETG, Translucent Red PLA, Glow-In-The-Dark PLA
Banzai Bill and his big Brother ;-) Scaled to 400%. Took 130h and 4kg Material
Love it! Printed at original size. I had trouble with the white of the eye, but it turned out well anyway!
Printed in Fillamentum PLA Extrafill Vertigo Grey, Signal Red and Traffic White.
Awesome design. Material: eSun PLA+ Layer: 0.2mm
Came out great Thank you for designing this
Scaled up 250%
i did. 200%.
There appears to be a small issue with the main body of this model. See the first two screenshots from meshmixer highlighting in orange a part of the screw thread that is floating in space. Also, see the screenshot from Prusaslicer showing the same area. I was reading about some failed prints in the comments after having the same issue and saw that this is what is causing it.
Thank you so much, I absolutely love it.
220% scale on a Prusa Mini+ - Prusament Galaxy Black, 3D Fuel Bone White, Amazon Basics Red
I made a quick wallmount for this if anyone is interested :) https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5135033
50% scale on an Creality Ender 5 Plus because why not make something tiny on a big printer
Had some trouble with elephant's foot and fitting all the pieces together at the end, but just a bit of sanding got it all worked out and I couldn't be happier with it!
Amazing model, the pieces fit together flawlessly, even with a mix of PLA and PETG.
300% scale Printers used Cr10max Tronxy xy3 pro v2 2 artillery sidewinders
I did the glow part with DuramiC PLA Plus and this brand is BY FAR my favorite to print with! :) Highly recommend it and it prints SO Well on glass, PLUS, lol, Amazon gets it to you Quickly and they have Tons of color choices! :)
Really enjoyed this print, and look forward to making a BIGGER one next time, just waiting on white PLA right now, but my GLOW PLA was an Awesome alternative in the meantime. :)
Printed awesome at 250%!
Bullet Bill printed in PLA. Looks Good! I had to rip a bit the lower teeth but it's fine!
Just saw the movie and understood where it came from
100% and 338% on the sv01pro. print head crashed into support so I had to stop and just print the top on the 338%
I'm doing a #3dprint365 project where I print something everyday. This is my print for day 14 and it's my favourite one so far! Thanks for the design.
